Simon spoke widely about his current work which is a personal project based on his family, mainly his dad. He explores an archive of images taken by his father whom passed away due to alcoholism. He then uses photography as a tool in which to explore his feelings and also as a way to grieve. He explores the relationship in which he had with his father through the use of photography, by doing this it is almost a coping mechanism from him as he mentioned struggling with his mental health. Hi work was quite eye opening as he was very honest about his relationship with his father which I admire. This approach to his work definitely left me feeling more openminded about the work I was creating.
